Horan: I have to say, I absolutely adore the piece we collaborated on with Dilara Findikoglu. It was such an enjoyable experience, and I know she’s really into wearing it, which makes it even more special. The Vivienne Westwood design is another favorite of mine; it’s just iconic. Plus, the Saint Laurent look she has donned on several occasions is undeniably stunning. It exudes heat and glamour, and the fact that it’s a runway piece—not even custom made—just adds to its allure.

I’d like to discuss the transition from runway to stage. The speed at which this has evolved is quite staggering. You and Charli certainly have a knack for creating impactful moments, or leveraging them effectively. Can you share how the process unfolds when you spot something and want to secure it right away?

Horan: I admit I can be quite the nuisance in this regard. I’m an absolute Vogue Runway fanatic, constantly refreshing the Latest Shows page, eagerly anticipating new collections. Whether it’s through WhatsApp, Instagram, or email, I’m quick to reach out to brands to see how urgently we can obtain a piece. Both Charli and I have this running joke that we’re acutely aware of the fleeting moments we have to capitalize on. We’re in a golden period where we can really seize these opportunities, and while I hope they last, we must make the most of it. After all, the worst that can happen is they say no, but if we don’t ask, we’ll never know.

Forné: It can definitely be tricky to find something that’s still available when the collection just dropped a month ago. It’s almost a race against time! But that’s what makes this all entertaining. I vividly remember when I saw those looks by Duran Lantink in September featuring the lower-cut pants showing off underwear—I knew immediately that it would be perfect for Troye. I requested it, packed it in my suitcase, and flew it to the US myself! Working with someone who already has a distinct style allows me to recognize exactly what pieces fit them best.

On a lighter note, with Halloween approaching, I can imagine we’ll see plenty of costume attempts inspired by Troye and Charli. What advice do you have for those who want to emulate their looks?

Horan: My main piece of advice is to avoid putting in minimal effort. If you’re going to go for it, you need to fully commit! I don’t want to see just a standard white tank top unless it has a wine stain on it for effect [laughs]. Seriously though, think about the details—like that incredible recreation of the Luar look from SNL. It’s all about the little things!

Forné: Oh, absolutely! You’ll need extremely long, curly hair, fabulous sunglasses, and high boots to complete the look!

Horan: See? It’s simple if you just put in the work! [laughs]

Forné: Just one important tip if you’re dressing as Troye: if you’re wearing chaps, make sure you wear the right underwear! A little attention to detail goes a long way.

As we wrap up, do you have any final thoughts to share?

Horan: I just want to say how much I’ve enjoyed collaborating with Marc. It’s been an incredibly fun journey, and I genuinely feel we have developed a close bond through this process. I’m going to miss him since he doesn’t reside in this country anymore.

Forné: I completely agree! This has been such a wonderful experience, and I look forward to returning for future projects.

Marc appreciates the fast-paced vibe of New York City.

Forné: Absolutely! Speaking of which, I need to catch my flight now. Bye, everyone!
