Zuhair Murad’s design philosophy is often influenced by his global travels, drawing stories from destinations like Italy, Peru, and Miami to inform his collections. However, for this season, he chose a more introspective route, exploring the deeply emotional theme of transformation and the cultivation of inner strength. This journey led him to the enchanting concept of a mermaid—symbolizing the metamorphosis of a mere mortal into a breathtaking new entity—resulting in designs that favored a softer, more streamlined silhouette.

The collection showcased a palette of gentle, sun-kissed hues, featuring shades like light coral, soft salmon, and warm sand, all adorned with exquisite seashell necklines and intricate embellishments. This artistic approach reduced the necessity for additional accessories or jewelry, allowing for the spotlight to shine on the delicate, tone-on-tone star-shaped embroidery at the waist of the gowns. This season, Murad seemed to embrace a more minimalistic aesthetic while still holding true to his signature style by introducing more versatile daywear options with skirt and top ensembles in cotton, complemented by abundant use of lace.

Among the standout pieces were strong-shouldered, double-breasted suits paired with slightly flared pants. These classic designs embodied both sophistication and a touch of surprise, thanks to unexpected details like open lace backs, adding that dramatic flair that Murad’s clientele has come to adore.

Structure was elegantly displayed through Queen Anne necklines and corset tops, while Murad dabbled in the sheer trend with several ethereal looks crafted from silk and lace, allowing for tantalizing glimpses of skin. This season, instead of opting for traditional animal prints, he introduced a light scale print that shimmered subtly, enhancing the collection’s allure. Classic Murad elements were present with sequined columns and radiant sparkle, alongside newer silhouettes that featured graceful trains and bows on the bodice, ideal for his Hollywood clients as they prepare for the red carpet during awards season.

In a refreshing twist on his branding, Murad also reimagined his monogram, creatively overlapping the ZM pattern to form a new design reminiscent of a lightning bolt. This innovative approach brought an electrifying element to his accessories, including bags and belts, further enhancing his brand identity.
