There are nights when sleep just won’t come, and rather than tossing around, sometimes you surrender to whatever mood strikes. The other night, I found myself in this exact spot—restless, staring up through the glass ceiling in my bedroom in my house on the French Riviera, counting stars and clouds drifting past, yet somehow unable to slip into sleep. This particular room has always been magical to me, almost like a secret hideaway with its clear roof. I love how it feels to sleep right under the stars; although, let’s be real, during thunderstorms , glass ceilings can be intense. But I’d never cover it up; the openness feels too much like freedom.
After some time, I began to notice all the treasures I’d left in my wardrobe since my last visit ( i was traveling for quite some time) Turns out, I’d tucked away some real gems—pieces I’d forgotten I even owned. With that discovery, my sleepless night took a turn. I slipped into a beautiful pastel mint Dolce & Gabbana corset, topped off with a dreamy feathered cape ( also Dolce ) that felt like something out of an old film, all floaty and romantic. Over that, a pair of silk pajama shorts that somehow made it all feel effortless, and finally, the perfect finishing touch—silk Dolce and Gabbana mules in a soft mint I’d picked up in Athens. I’d found the mules just a few weeks ago, yet somehow, they matched the Dolce pieces perfectly.
Once dressed up, I floated around the house, admiring the way the moonlight caught the feathers on the cape, taking a few pictures here and there just to capture the magic of the moment. It was a little moment just for me—strolling around the house in pure Dolce luxury, feeling like I’d stepped into my own private fairy tale under the Riviera stars.
