Recently, Mercedes unveiled a customized electric G-Class ( as massive fans of G-Class we are loving it) , specifically designed to carry the coveted Summoner’s Cup. This vehicle, will travel across Europe leading up to this season’s World Championship finale in London later this fall. Crafted by Mercedes’ specialized Manufakture customization team, this one-of-a-kind G-Class features a striking matte black finish. Its exterior prominently showcases the 2024 championship motto, “Make Them Believe,” in bold white letters. Inside, the League of Legends emblem is intricately stitched into the seat headrests, and a custom trunk module has been created to securely hold the trophy. Additionally, the vehicle is branded as this season’s “Official Trophy Carrier” and includes the logo of Riot Games, the developer of League of Legends. While specific technical details about the electric G-Class are still under wraps, it is equipped with a quad-motor powertrain that delivers an impressive 579 horsepower and 859 lb-ft of torque. This powerful setup enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 112 mph. Although Mercedes has not officially announced the vehicle’s range, estimates suggest it could cover around 240 miles on a single charge. The debut of this unique G-Class coincides with the start of the play-in stage for Worlds 2024 in Berlin. The quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place next month in Paris, culminating in the grand finale on November 2 in London. Throughout the tournament, this electric vehicle will carefully transport the Summoner’s Cup between venues. Mercedes has previously engaged with the League of Legends community in various ways. Its South Korean division sponsors T1, a top e-sports team, and notably gifted the legendary player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok a custom SL upon his Hall of Legends induction. Additionally, the brand created a “virtual show car” featured in an animated video for the League of Legends world anthem, “Star Walkin’,” performed by Lil Nas X during Worlds 2022.
